Socks do not want to be paired. That is why they get lost. They want to be mixed up by us. It makes life so much more interesting.
It had been a long-longed wish, to launch the Single Sock Movement. A concept I have been playing with in my mind for years, before it launched, earlier this year. As the founder of ONETO, I developed the brand strategy, identity, product design, packaging, online store, launch campaign, events, photoshoots, lookbook, social media channels and creative workshops.
To launch ONETO on 1-2-2018, a fiction-perfect character was brought to life to create awareness for the new movement. The sock puppet “O.So. Handsome” responded to the vacancy of the brand, in search for a charismatic spokesperson and Vice-President of the company. Handsome got hired and plays a key role in the introduction and future roll out of the brand. He speaks in the name of all socks, to deliver the brand message and challenges, us humans, to pair what we wear. After all, we have two feet to feed. ONETO (derived from one-to-one) gives back half of all products or half of all profits to causes attached to it’s product line.
Handsome is currently travelling around the world to spread the message and “feet the single sock movement”. You might catch him at a kinky event, or he might be giving a creative workshop at a homeless center. For more information visit www.onetocelebrate.com or email firstname.lastname@example.org
